Bayan was built to address a critical gap in medical education across the Arab world. Residents preparing for the Arab Board, OMSB, and other licensing examinations often lack access to high-quality, evidence-based practice questions that reflect the depth and rigour of these exams. Bayan exists to close that gap through intelligent, adaptive learning.
Bayan is developed by experienced clinicians and educators affiliated with Sultan Qaboos University and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, leaders in medical education in the Sultanate of Oman. Our team combines deep clinical expertise with modern AI and educational technology to deliver a platform that genuinely helps doctors learn better and faster.
Every question on Bayan goes through a rigorous multi-stage pipeline. Questions are generated using advanced AI models informed by current medical literature and PubMed-indexed sources. Each question is then reviewed by a second AI layer for clinical accuracy, distractor quality, and alignment with exam blueprints. Finally, expert clinicians review and approve questions before they reach learners. This dual-review process ensures the highest standard of question quality.
Bayan does not just serve questions randomly. Our adaptive engine uses SM-2 spaced repetition to resurface questions at optimal intervals, identifies your weak specialties and topics to focus your study, and calibrates question difficulty to match your current ability level. Our question bank is specifically designed around the Arab Board of Medical Specializations and OMSB Part 1 exam blueprints. Content covers internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and other core specialties with the clinical depth expected at the postgraduate level.
